Recently Advantage Geomatics have been commissioned by more than one client to carry out Measured Building Surveys on agricultural buildings with a view to redevelopment to either residential accommodation or business facilities.
It is interesting to work on these projects and try to visualise how these buildings could look when the project has been completed. These buildings have great architectural features such as large doorways for hay carts to be drawn up inside, lovely oak beams and sometimes fine details that demonstrate the care and grandeur that was given to these buildings in the past and developers are often looking to retain these and incorporate them into the designs to set them apart from others.
